WOW Jane. You pushed my green button. Wurmbrand is one of my spiritual "heroes." This converted Jew from Rumania has probably suffered more for Christ than 99.999/100 Christians. I think I've got all his books. Of the over several thousand books I have in my Library, his Christian faith is one of the most inspiring. Remember the one incident when he was dancing with angels in his cell and the guards thought he was crazy. The angels had come to comfort him. As far as humor goes---it is absolutely necessary for sanity and perspective. "Using humor when holiness is in process" an interesting thought I need to ponder.
