Conservatives believe that people should be relied upon to make it on their own.

If conservatives are convinced of that premise, why do they work so hard to reduce taxation as low as possible? If, in fact, they are so confident in their abilities, the American taxation system should not present a problem at all in their quest to make tons of money.
