Yeah, but in LA and the areas where there are immigrant gangs, there are black gangs, white gangs, gangs of other ethnicities... the illegals who are in gangs are just like any other large, poor group in those areas, no?
No. There are a smathering of black and Asian gangs but its the Latino gangs that predominate and are much larger. In fact, there is an outmigration of blacks and black gangs from LA, pushed out by the Latinos. And I never heard of any white gangs. In every single Latino community in S. CA, there are Latino gangs. And they are spreading throughout the West. More and more, we are seeing gang signatures in Seattle. I can not tell you how angry it makes me. Just because conservatives feel the same way as I do does not make them or me wrong.
I am telling you, Z, you need to find out more about this subject before coming to your conclusions. I did not come to my position easily.....esp since the issues of race and ethnicity complicate the matter. You once posted here and I am paraphrasing....."I can't believe you all are afraid of some brown people". My response.......you become fearful when you feel like you are being overwhelmed. The reason illegals are now moving into the Midwest and East is because the West has become so saturated that it doesn't benefit them to move here. That, in and of itself, speaks volumes! |
