"If Atheism does the same thing for the US that it did for communist Russia"

Don't be a moron! Communism was the ideology that inspired Russia. Atheism is value neutral excepting that it refers to believing that Gods do not exist. The fact that communist ideology bans religious belief speaks to communism not to atheism. Atheism does not have any opinion on the proletariat uprising, the means of production, the toiling workers, the overthrow of the bourgeoisie, nor the banning of freedom of religion and thought--nor anything else.

Having said that, there is obviously nothing to prevent an atheist from being as bad as a bad religious person except for (obviously) a more rational and humanistic view of life and (usually) a humble denial of his/her moral superiority. The fact that atheists are well under represented in the prison population is suggestive, but again...atheism in and of itself does not make anyone morally superior to someone with spiritual leanings.

You can pass off atheism as Communism to ninnies such as inhabit your social world. But don't try to pass it off here, you pretender!
