Times Select and the FT have this emotionally unsatisfying deal where you get 90% of the content free, but then have to pay up for the last 10%. They must know what they are doing, but it seems pretty bizarre and manipulative to me. I think I would feel better about paying if none of it was free.

I'm paying for the FT now, but the NYT doesn't seem worth it. Used to be a NYT fanatic, but either I've changed or the NYT has changed.

Strange how nobody (including me) wants to pay for news anymore. But I am paying $10 a month for Russ Winter's pod casts. Find those quite enjoyable, especially right now during the height of the credit quake.
