I dont think Obama can do what edwards can (and Bill Clinton did) that is win at least one southern or red state. That's what we need to make sure the GOP cheating machine doesn't nail our democracy again. I adore Obama but unless he's VP I don't think he helps our cause in the general election. I am constantly amazed and suspicious of these polls showing Hillary way ahead. I can't imagine any practical realistic democratic thinking she has the best chance of beating Guiliani or Romney. I have more faith in democrats. So long as Edwards can pull off Iowa, and he's a favorite there, I think he starts rolling. I also have the feeling Gore isn't gonna run now. Too bad but that's reality. BTW, Edwards is extremely charismatic, has very well thought out ideas agreeing with Obama on most everything, and is very smart and tough in a debate. So Obama supporters should not mind supporting Edwards.
