Alberto Gonzales is gone. Unlike Karl Rove, who was evil but competent, Gonzalez was evil and incompetent, like their common boss. Still, he may have seemed like a great lawyer around all the Bob Jones and Jerry Falwell Tech graduates in the Justice Dept. Rice undergrad and Harvard Law may be a cut or two above his colleagues at Justice.

One thing about Gonzales, he was one of the few actual veterans in this Administration. He served in the Air Force, which I tell my old Army buddies, is considered a real branch of the DOD by those who haven't served in the Army. <G>
