Yes.. that deserves to be bolded and italicized. Because even if those smart folks who purchased their homes on fixed rate, 20% down mortgages don't have to worry about foreclosure, they still have to worry about the assessed value of their homes depreciating severely due to all of the problems we've discussed.

Who wants to live on a block where 1 of 4 houses are boarded up and foreclosed upon (as was reported to be the case in parts of the "Inland Empire" around Riverside, CA?
