My mother, God bless her, starts to cook but forgets what she started. I haven't eaten anything she's cooked in many years. She does cook every day, then leaves stuff on the counter, i.e. pasta in a bowl on the counter overnight. She also forgets things on the stove while they're cooking. This is one of the reasons I don't cook. We thought about building her a private kitchen but decided we'd be taking our life into our hands. We'd need to hire Smokey the Bear to keep an eye on her.
