If Barney Frank can have a gay prostitution ring run out of his DC house, anything goes.

There is a difference - a real difference! The people who vote for Frank don't have hangups on the gay issue. Conservatives for the most part do. The other difference is that Frank is open and honest about his gay lifestyle while Craig not only hid his - he was doing the very thing he was preaching - AND voting against. His character as it implies to his basic honesty is called into question.

There is another real reason this is not an "August summer dog day" story and that is when you have people living such a unbelievable secret life - they, as some of the very most powerful people in our government are open to extortion or buying of votes by someone knowing this secret lifestyle.
