Sitcom early 50s. Gertrude Berg was the star and she played a jewish nyc women who use sit by the window of her tenemnet and shout down to folks in the street or across in another apartemnt things like yoo hoo mrs. bloom. I never found it funny but the old jewish grandparents loved it. And somehow it attained a national audience. I say all of this with the remembrence of a six year old
