Where do I "keep going on about 'hidden ideas'"?

How about here?

You, on the other hand, are so caught up in the misleading use of the words "war on terrorism" that you can't seem to understand that waging real "war" against a hidden enemy is entirely counter productive.

It's not terrorists that you must defeat; it's the ideas that drive them to become terrorists. Kill terrorists and the ideas breed more terrorists impassioned by the martyrs you've killed. Kill the ideas that fuel their passion and you need not kill anyone.

It's the old liberal line - you can't fight terrorists, terrorists are like cockroaches, kill one and a thousand more spring up in his place, there's no such thing as a counter-insurgency campaign except for brutal American commanders burning the village to save it.

It's hooey, and has to ignore the news of just what the American army IS doing in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The ideas that motivate the terrorists are quite simple: they preach a return to the pure 7th century Islam, with themselves as rulers, and using terrorism they will drive the West out of the ummah, establish the caliphate and rule the world. I suggest looking at The Al Qaeda Reader. That's their playbook.
