Nadine....let me get this straight. I reply to you about you're sweeping generalization of... "Everybody knows that killing jews in pizza parlors is totally islamic" and you counter in true Nadine tangential fashion with...... "Oh really? Please supply the fatwa from a major Islamic scholar, given in the Middle East in Arabic, that condemns suicide bombing even of Israelis." Even if I could....what the hell does it prove?!?!? That there's a fanatic who doesn't endorse suicide bombing of Israelis therefore all the killing of jews isn't totally islamic!! In order for your statement to be valid you have to prove to me that "everybody" knows what you said is true.....does every Muslim condone suicide bombings??? Does "everybody" share your sentiment??? If not, then guess what....your statement is WRONG! "A better comparison would be to saying that it was totally Catholic to blow up Protestants in 1560, at the height of the Wars of Religion." My modern day comparison is equally valid.... The Israel/Pal conflict is about land not religion. Extremists on both sides like to make it out that way....makes it the good guy / bad guy scenario that keeps the masses in check. Jews and Arabs were living together in that area for centuries with no war between them. As for the "smell the roses" comment....I was actually offering a little advice, not trying to insult. Seriously....
