Sunw was a hardware company selling computers because Unix users are few. Otherwise they could sell Unix on PCs.

Java is an emulation software, which means it is very slow compared to Posix microkernels such as QNX, or Prex or Ash shell in Unix. Trying to bank the business on software not directly using UNIX and email to deliver webpages is a huge risk to stockholders.

When management makes such a grave mistake, banking on slow software instead of their own fast software; stockholders will bolt before management sinks the company.

I see an opportunity after labor day that some of us will leave the stock for JAVA to buy back.
