If the Canadians came roaming across the border and took your nice Vermont home from you Nadine, what would you do? That analogy is not quite accurate. You forgot to say that the Canadians wouldn't actually "take her home", they just want to declare Vermont part of the Canadian Homeland, and the former US citizens can live and work there and be the non-Canadian citizens of the Canadian Homeland.
