Bart would do not agree with the writer conclusion. Presently the US must sell around 60 billion in paper asset each month to finance it's trade deficit. This can not last for ever and even at this "low USD level" there is trade deficit with the EU. Something must give to bring exports back to US economy but I am not smart enough what it will be, except lower USD.

Would agree with the author if the trade deficit have been around 3% or less of GDP
