The 400K/mo. may also include materials & production costs of manufacture. The 125/unit gross profit/unit may already have accounted for those as well. If so, this would make bottom line net higher. Dists. will have a 35% profit if they sell product @ $500 or greater. This indicates dist. cost @ $ 300 to 325/unit. It seems likely that dir. and ind. costs of manufacture should allow Norris to make these @ $ 175 to 200/unit. There will also be some add-ons in the package such as a coupon to order a PCMCIA slot for a desktop and probably coupons for AOL, and other Internet providers via Netscape or Microsoft. Some of these may have some additional revenue streams for Norris.
