Ok, the vote is over. The final tally, including one vote sent to me via PM is 33 to 12 in favor of keeping the speed limit.

So, we will retain the limit. Based on input, I want to add the following, umm, clarifications.

Total posts are counted from midnight to midnight, and will not count on a major news day like the quarterly CC or an analyst day. A posting on a news site or an enthusiast site does not count as a major news day. If the violation isn't noted by myself or someone else within 24 hours after the last post of the day, there will be no ban issued. If you spot a violation, either PM me, email me or post it here. Posting it to the main thread will result in me ignoring it. It is off-topic and spam. I don't want to ban someone for that, but it is within the rules.

So don't tempt me.

My goal is to only issue bans if there is no other choice to maintain decorum on the board. I'd rather not issue any, but that doesn't appear to be possible. So let's all try to conform with the minimal rules we do have and don't take things so personal...
