Hmmm Its too late now but I think I'd have gone to court on that one. I know you're going to want to crack me over the head for saying that but I really think you could have gotten that tossed out provided that you put a new plate on. I wonder if there's any way of rectifying it now?? Its hard because in many cases it takes more time to negotiate out your position than it does to pay the fine. That sucks! In my case I really deserved a ticket. I had helped my plate in falling off because I didn't like the way it looked on my car. Even though I was TOTALLY guilty I have to admit that I was surprised that a state patrol would pull me over for a missing front plate when there were far better infractions to be had on the interstate. Even if I had been issued a ticket I think I'd have gotten out of it. When every other car driving the interstate is doing 10 MPH over the posted speed the officer had a far better chance of sticking someone with a ticket that would stand than she did by pulling me over for a missing plate. The key to being pulled over by a female officer is to automatically convey an attitude that women are superior to men in every way. Come to think of it....thats a good way to handle a marriage as well. Maybe I'll have to try that the next time around. Maybe if I do that the next radiant Mrs. Gloop will stay with me longer than 18 years <g> I'm A SLOW LEARNER.COM
