It would be so interesting to see how similar negotiations to the 2000 summits would be today with Arafat out of the picture. But alas our current admin. seems to have no desire whatsoever to bring that about so we'll need to wait until 2009 at least to see what unfolds. Imagine Hillary gets in and sets slick Willy off as the mediator to broker a lasting agreement to this mess!
