"Better than Iran..." Not if it caused TURKEY to invade the only reasonably peaceful remaining part of 'Iraq' --- Kurdistan. (Actually, I BET the administration would LOVE to be able to claim that those US small arms shipments wound up in Iran! Give 'em something more to hand around the necks of the Iranians.) But, in the larger military scheme of things, those SMALL ARMS (in the hands of Iran) would mean nothing as far as the military balance of forces in the region... but they are likely MIGHTY HANDY to Kurdish terrorist fighters killing cops and other folks inside Turkey.
