So? No one said that our standard of living had to go up year after year esp. if its predicated on the destruction of the planet.


"Destruction of the planet" isn't at hand. If you mean some specific lesser harm you should say what it is. Also if its a "so what" issue why did you fight it in the first place. It obviously is a reduction, so why challenge it? Such costs should be recognized. Maybe they have to be paid to gain something bigger or to prevent some harm, but they shouldn't be ignored, doing so distorts your analysis.

See above. The only thing you are worried about is that you may not have as much as you have now. Your concern for others only happens to overlap when it effects you.

I'm not worried about just me, I worried about all the harm the policies you propose will do to everyone else as well.
