Subsidies are different than price controls. Also the subsidies probably are less than the taxes the government gets from oil, gasoline, diesel and the industry in general, so the money is still flowing to the government, not to "big oil". For that matter I oppose the subsidies, but they are hardly a good argument for price controls, and their existence doesn't remove the harm that price controls would cause.
