Well, a higher violent crime rate only accounts for 2 or so per 100k population. Taking Japan as an example, difference in traffic fatalities account for another 8 or so per 100k population.

Which doesn't begin to match the difference in suicide rates.

You are running out of things to hide behind, Tim.

And, again, you could easily bounce the US into a comfortable lead in life expectancy if you eliminated the poor. The infant mortality goes way down, the homicide rate goes way down. Wouldn't surprise me if traffic mortality is way down too. But, that doesn't tell a story you want to recognize...
