Don't think so! I have a typical town home back yard that might be 20 x 30 feet. It's all in pavers, crushed rock and deck. A bird bath/fountain would have me out there every day hosing off the bird poop. I deliberately did my yard this way to avoid ANY maintenance on my part. I go sit on the deck and play my harmonica when it's in the shade. Otherwise, I go to grill or I don't go out there at all.
