Aye, that's a reasonable thing to say....

But, if one LARGER country is busy imploding in on it's self, engaged in fratricide and civil war, is not likely to be much of a threat far outside of it's borders either.

(And, if you can get the 'neighbors' dragged into the tar pit of the fighting --- THEY might lose the edge on their ability for force projection TOO.)
