I haven't transacted gold or platinum since autumn 2004.
At the time gold was $410 and platinum at $830. I am a holder of both and have recently looked into expanding holdings rather than selling; although it has felt like dead money for a year or so.

I have a CD maturing in 7 days and am frantically searching for a vehicle to embark upon. My current thinking is 50% into treasury bills (in advance of fed), 40% into a dividend bearing slow growth, and 10% for wild speculations.

I think my final decision on it will come down to the wire.

Forget the chump feel; you've definitely done beyond well with the good ole silver bullion.

PS: I earned myself a nice bruising that can almost (but not quite) approach the bike spill posting you made before. I happened to break my fifth metacarpal last weekend and got a glorious colorgraphic show.
