We won't have long to wait. Bush advisor Andrew Card is on record as saying that they waited to "sell" the war against Iraq until after Labor Day 2002, as August is no time to advertise anything (his words). I was skeptical that we were actually going to invade Iraq in 2002/2003, but it happened just as people were warning via leaks and speculation. Now the same leaks and speculation, and military build up around Iran, are saying an attack on Iran is not a matter of if but when. Bush wants to attack Iran before he leaves office, which leaves him 16 months to do so. It would make sense for him to take advantage of the Iraq surge and limited success to make his move against Iran this fall.
