beck is way out of line and is supporting teamsters on this one.

the trucks will all meet usa standards. they will not be big time polluters.

The consumer should in the end find imports cheaper. currently, these same products come over from mexico.. highway or no highway, the issue was presently trucks had to off loaded and loaded onto teamster trucks. so we had a truck loaded with fruit or other products and was not able to directly deliver to a corporation or retail store.

It had to off loaded by teamsters etc and reloaded and then driven by usa drivers.. who could be illegal mexicans for all we know. I doubt teamsters check for illegals either if they pay their dues.

totally unproductive and of course supported teamsters and loaders etc. and of course the end consumer paid for the cost of these services.

i vote let the trucks deliver directly to destination, maintain check points for vehicle inspections like we do already, and valid drivers licenses.

I am surprised he would be against a more economical way to provide services to the end consumer and hopefully keep prices down.
