But second, I repeat--in your previous post, you conflated "understandings of humanity" with requirements for citizenship, and those things are far from identical.

The point I was making was regarding the "similar values" of the US and Israel. The point was the USA allows immigration from the view that all people can apply, and acceptance has (hopefully) nothing to do with the applicant's race or religion. This application policy is a natural result of the US value that all men are created equal. Israel allows (and even encourages) Jews to apply, and discourages non-Jews. This application policy is the result of the Israeli value that Jews are somehow different from the rest of us, and the difference is significant. While there may be many similarities between the USA and Israel, this is a fundamental distinction in the "values" of the two countries.
