The answer is because many Canadians are very wealthy and they can. I'm not sure what question that answers. If they can afford the very best medical care, then they would stay home if it were best, ergo the care at home must not be best, no? You must take personal responsibility to get your own family doctor at all costs. Because of the shortage, this can be difficult but this must be done. And we would want to emulate this because...?
