>So, why would a gay man who believes in traditional Republican values, such as taking huge bribes from corporations, declaring war on weak countries while kissing up to strong countries, destroying the Bill of Rights, ex the second Amendment, getting rid of habeas corpus, etc., but happens to be gay, become a Libertarian? <
I wasn't talking about the republican party that was hijacked by neocon traitors and Christians that think the Second Coming is around the corner. I was talking about the republican party I joined many years before I stopped being naive and became a libertarian. Once Bush is swept out of office, hopefully the neocons will become irrelevant (though I would prefer the death penalty for treason on my bad days). Then we can go back to the more traditional disgusting two party system instead of the evil two party system we have now.
On the other point, you simply have to realize that the gay marriage movement is NOT just about the legal issues (even though it should be). It's about ramming their lifestyle down everyone else's throat (especially religious people) as equal. That's why there is all this hostility on both ends and why my solution isn't in place (and won't be soon). |
