State may see $325M in federal money

From millions to fix the leaking Center Hill Dam to thousands to help troubled youth, members of the Tennessee congressional delegation have won initial approval for nearly $325 million in targeted federal projects in spending bills Congress will consider when it returns Tuesday.
How much Tennessee will receive for these projects is uncertain, however, because the Senate must still pass 11 of the 12 appropriations bills that cover everything from defense to agriculture. And then, congressional negotiators will have to work out differences between the Senate and House versions.
