I think Hillary would be an EXCELLENT President.

She's smart as hell, tough as steel and knows Congress, the Whitehouse and politics in general as well as just about anybody. Anything she doesn't know her husband does.

Speaking of her husband, he's one of the most respected figures in the world and could represent the U.S. overseas as few other people in history ever could.

At THIS time I think Hillary will get the Democratic nomination and will be the BEST candidate the Democrats could put up. Dodd, Richardson and Biden are all sharp people, but they don't seem to have any shot. Edwards has put ALL his chips on Iowa and he HAS to win there to stay in the race. Obama has deficiencies and has made some mistakes that would probably make him unelectable in the General Election and I think that will sink in more and more with longtime Democrats as we approach the primaries (just as it did with Dean).

THAT being said, I think Hillary could have a VERY tough time winning the General Election herself considering how unpopular she is in the Red States and how she may face either Giuliani or Romney, both of which have the ability to pick off some of the Blue States.

You would THINK 2008 would be a "cakewalk" for the Democratic candidate, but unfortunately the Democrats don't have a candidate that fits all the parameters of a POPULAR National Candidate. Warner from Virginia COULD have been that guy, but he decided not to run.
