Barb - Re: Quark X-Press on the Alpha.

I saw that anouncement and was slightly amused.

The ALPHA will offer a blow-away platform for Quark X-Press, but only REAL SERIOUS Graphica art shops would go out and buy an ALPHA for that one software application.

I do agree there will be some of these shops that buy the Alpha/Quark machine combination. But relatively speaking, that number will be small - real small - a few thousand maybe?

Bear in mind Quark XPRESS is already available for Windows 95 so much cheaper machines (Pentium II 300 MHz) can be had at some loss in overall performance.
