Salazar Announces Commencement of 9000 Meter Drill Program at Curipamba, Ecuador Tuesday September 4, 8:30 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 4, 2007 -- Salazar Resources Ltd. (CDNX:SRL.V - News)(Frankfurt:CCG.F - News) is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2007 diamond drill program at it's 100 % owned Curipamba Project, located approximately 100 km NE from Guayaquil in Central West Ecuador.
Kluane International Drilling ("Kluane") has been contracted to complete the drill program at Curipamba. Kluane have mobilized a drill rig to the property and drilling has commenced. The drill program will follow up on successful rock chip and channel sampling, the results of which have confirmed the presence of high grade Gold and Silver mineralization.
The total program consists of approximately 48 holes, totaling 9000 meters and will begin with an initial 4,000 meters. The program will commence at Sesmo Sur area where previous channel sampling from the El Lobo Anomaly (0.8 km by 0.4 km) returned 68 meters at an average of 2.6 g/t Gold and 82 g/t Silver; including 5 meters at an average of 8.5 g/t Gold and 304 g/t Silver.

In addition to Sesmo Sur the drill program will test the various anomalies identified on our Las Naves mining concessions which cover an area 2 km x 1 km. Previous channel sampling conducted in the Las Naves area returned the following results:
- El Gallo Anomaly, average values of 17 m at 11.2 g/t Gold and 505 g/t Silver.
- Sesmo Anomaly, with averages of 15 m at 39.1 g/t Gold and 741 g/t Silver, includes 2 m at 186.5g/t Gold and 1055 g/t Silver,
- Caracol 1 Anomaly, that returned averages of 10 m at 5.96 g/t Gold and 157 g/t Silver,
- Caracol Anomaly, that returned averages of 16 m at 1.98 g/t Gold and 1.7 % of Zinc,
- Cade 1 Anomaly, averages of 7 m at 9.8 g/t Gold, 409 g/t Silver and over 1 % Zinc,
- Cade Sur Anomaly, with averages 10 m at 7.63 g/t Gold and 291 g/t Silver and exceptional samples with results of up to 2.7 % Copper and 34.9 % Zinc, among others;
