S.African Q2 gold output rises 1.1 pct vs Q1 Mon Sep 3, 2007 9:27AM EDT reuters.com JOHANNESBURG, Sept 3 (Reuters) - South African gold production rose by 1.1 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, but fell by 7.5 percent versus the same period last year, the Chamber of Mines said. Gold production in the three months to end-June was 2.04 million ounces, it said in a statement.
