In 2005 we cruised from LA to Puerto Vallarta with friends. We chose a bus excursion into the mountains, while others rented a car to sightsee. Within 3 mi of the ship, they turned around & returned due to the chaotic driving conditions. Meanwhile, we had our own unsettling moments as the bus driver puffed on a cigarette, while hovering over the gas tank, as he checked the gas supply with a long stick. Needless to say, both groups found more adventure than expected. Grateful to be here to relate the story. lol
