Steve -

I feel the need to say that I have not in any way tried to justify what Craig did. Nor has anyone else, as far as I can see.

Feeling some human sympathy for the man is another matter. I can feel compassion for most human beings, even very evil ones, but that doesn't mean I think they are innocent victims.

And let's also not forget that whatever he did, he did not molest any children. He didn't even have sex in a public bathroom, though he may have done in the past. In this particular incident, he is accused only of trying to arrange to have sex there. I'm not saying that to justify his behavior. I'm just trying to keep things in perspective.
