Herbal and Dietary Supplements for Treatment of Anxiety Disorders aafp.org There is substantial evidence that kava has a positive effect on the symptoms of anxiety disorders. Table 3 summarizes the evidence on the effectiveness and safety of kava in patients with anxiety disorders. Who would formally test cannabis as a treatment for anxiety?? I can understand a trial to test if it induces anxiety (duh!), but for therapy? They once watched a Cheech and Chong movie and just sort of assumed that it would be a good idea? What clown organization would have FUNDED such a study????
