In New Orleans after Katrina the police went house to house and took guns away from law abiding citizens leaving them at the mercy of the thugs. There is a reason there was a lot of looting and violating going on in New Orleans. TX on the other hand I don't doubt it's a state law that if your armed your required to shoot someone looting or breaking the law. Not a lot of looting in TX.
