I'm gonna go buy about a dozen ears while it's still available. I plan to leave the husk on, vacuum seal them, one at a time with my food saver then freeze them. Any time this coming winter, I can simply extract a fresh ear of corn from my freezer and enjoy. Sweet Shirley showed me how to pull the husk off, wash off and roll in a wet paper towel then one minute on high in the micro... eat a delicious ear. Have salt and butter at the ready.
