To avoid finding out after the fact that I couldn't get at my cash because of some kind of ABCP seize-up, or the inappropriate commingling of funds a la Sentinel -- however unlikely that kind of burn is, I just didn't want to worry about it I moved those particular accounts to TDW because it's still 40% owned by a Canadian bank that has a reputation to hang onto -- nothing is truly safe anymore, but I'm trying to improve my odds of surviving with my assets intact in case this crunch gets really out of hand
