IF the Government legalizes them, then the Government presumably will be responsible for the actions taken by those who are under the influence of the drugs.

When alcohol is involved in a crime does the government pay? No, they don't, it's a personal responsibility issue. Yet, at one time alcohol was prohibited in the US too. The gov't doesn't have to deal it.

My guess is that we wouldn't have much problem with drugs anymore if the penalties were very stiff for any dealers found with them.

It doesn't seem to have helped Texas much........
