Fully diluted earnings per share takes into account the shares underlying the convert, and adds back the interest on the bonds, net of tax. In essence, fully diluted EPS treats convertible securities AS IF they were converted. ARX reports fully diluted eps because the accounting rules require it. Analyst projections of fully diluted EPS reflect the assumed conversion of the bonds.
