Well, it would complete our transition to "rogue nation" status.

Now they are claiming it was all a mistake. Which doesn't give warm fuzzies, either. Hard to see how they loaded 6 nuclear cruise missiles, with the warheads intact, by mistake. Hard to see how, once that was done, when the flight crew did their walk around, they didn't notice the cruise missiles, complete with the decals identifying them as nuclear, hanging off the wings.

Sigh. I remember when nuclear weapons were taken seriously. When there was a chain of custody, complete with sign offs at every step and nuclear weapons weren't just handled with the equivalent of tossing them in the back of a pickup.

Because either they were handled as casually as that or someone really high up make the decision to move them and they are trying to cover it up. AFAIK, the office of the President has to authorize the movement of those weapons. I suppose these days it means Cheney has that authority.
