I guarantee the timing of Henri's departure is no
coincidence. What it means exactly is up for speculation.

If Henri had planned his departure for a long time, and
it had been completely amicable, his successor would
have been announced at the same time as his departure.
Since that didn't happen, it's some kind of a surprise.

Maybe he got an offer he couldn't refuse from Freescale.
He went to Hector with it. Hector couldn't match it.
Hector said, "If you don't have enough faith in this
company to stick around and value the stock options
we've given you as gold, then get your butt out of here
before we introduce Barcelona."

That's the most positive spin for AMD I can invent.

All the other theories I can come up with involve Hector
firing Henri for something that didn't turn out right,
that Hector viewed as Henri's responsibility. Perhaps it's
something in the past. Perhaps it's something in the
current quarter. The fact that it was obviously hasty
suggests it might be something in the current quarter.
Maybe Henri and Hegberg jointly screwed something up
(ATI sales ?) this Q very badly and each pointed
the finger at the other. So now they're both gone.

I agree that they're unlikely scapegoats for the Barcelona
delay. But there's some reason why they're gone. And
knowing or having decided that, Hector chose to make it
happen before the Barcelona launch. Why? You can be
sure there's a reason.
