Gerald (and Scott and any other Novell people):

Could you please describe your feelings about Gibson's departure? (not the reasons/rumors/etc.)

I find it interesting that your list of promises kept start on July 1996 and go to January 1997. How about a list from Jan 1997 until now?

I broke many of my buying criteria I set in buying Novell and I may regret it. But I still got about 2 to 2.5 yrs to go for my 3 yr min holding period....I am in here for the ride (and hopefully for the buyout soon).

And yes, I agree this company will make an excellent case for Harvard MBA students!

Can anyone care to work on the top 10 things that will happen the day Joe sells all of his Novell shares?Hmmm, let me start:

No. 10: Young calls a BOD meeting in which there is a 100% attendance for the first time in Novell's histrory to celebrate Joe's departure. The BOD members burn the white paper amid frantic celebrations and partying. Then, they increase Youngs' pay to 20k a week and give everyone else a 10k/week salary so they can assist Young in his search to find more executives to assist Schmidt. Then, suddenly, Young's cell phone rings and Young excuses himself by saying: "Folks, sorry but I have to go, I am taking the jet to go to interview a prospect in the French Riviera. Bye!" The BOD members continue their drinking while admiring the dedication and hard work ethic of their leader!

George
P.S. Obviously, the above is pure fiction and has nothing to do with me, my employer and the people mentioned!
