No, its a different world. My mother would not put up with any cussing, smoking or other bad habits around the house and her motto was "spare the rod, spoil the child". Today she'd probably be investigated by some childrens advocate group. She ran a tight ship, but she had to with 3 boys all in the same age group being raised through the depression. Course, I couldnt pull any tricks, she had seen them all. jdn
