Albert, I was hoping that Jerry would say that their production problem had been solved. Instead he said that perhaps it has been solved in part and only time would tell. He said that everything would have to turn out perfectly in order to meet the production objective. He gave himself lots of room.
On the other hand I was encouraged by the confirmation that AMD had met the minimum requirements of its customers and that demand was not a problem, only production. I was also encouraged by the hints of further cutomers and probable notebook production.
In summary, my reaction is that the stock is a long shot but that the possible payoff is so great given a solution to the production problems, that I will hold my investment. I still think it is a reasonably good bet.
